New Book Chapter in Dance Matters Too: Markets, Memories, Identities (2018)

I’m pleased to have my work, Super Ruwaxi: Origins, co-created with Shyamala Moorty, featured on the cover of a new critical anthology of Indian dance scholarship, Matters of Indian Dance: Memories, Markets, Identities, edited by Pallabi Chakravorty and Nilanjana Gupta and published by Routledge.  The book also features a new co-written chapter with Sandra Chatterjee, “Remixing Natya: Revanta Sarabhai’s LDR and Post Natyam Collective’s Super Ruwaxi: Origins,” which examines how classical Indian dance aesthetics are remixed for a digital, internet-dominated world.
